Happy BTS 2026! Well, I have definitely been both absent and out of sight here on the websites hahaha. This time last year I was stressing myself out trying to get my yearlong curriculums ready in time for the back-to-school season and I failed, phooey. I had them…and then a friend gave me feedback about how to make them better, so I took the advice and created outlines and guides and more detailed teacher instructions…which ended up taking until mid-December. So much for that back-to-school season! As a result of the intensive curriculum prep last fall, once everything was done for the year, so was I. X)
But now Reading the Rapids is back and certainly better!
I know many Northern districts don’t kick off BTS until after Labor Day, but Florida is already back in planning-week action. If you need some solid ELA curriculum resources, whether that need be individual lessons, quarterly curriculums or full yearlong curriculums, check out some of the new resources (over 30!) I added. Okay and by new, I mean last September through December…
Editable Introductory Debate Unit—great to preface argumentative writing!
A full first quarter of ELA materials for 7/8th and a full first quarter of ELA materials for 9/10th Start the year off with as little stress as possible by having at least the first quarter mapped for you!
Yearlong 7/8 bundle…180 days of ready-made curriculum already done and mapped out!
And…if you teach multi-levels, I have the two yearlongs bundled for an insane amount of resources! But still all mapped out for you. :} This is my pinnacle right here hahaha. What a tome! And really, I wish I had known about TpT when I started teaching. It would have saved me much time and stress.
Happy BTS kick off! Here is to a wonderful season of learning!
