Hello!  Thank you so much for perusing my site and taking a moment to learn about it!  Mdsaintswrites.com is a dual-purpose site for both my creative and academic writing.  My creative writing includes my self-published novel, The Tale of the Starbreather’s Realm as well as various little stories and poems.  My academic writing is focused on quality and rigorous ELA resources, primarily for secondary classrooms.  You can find those resources here at my store, Reading the Rapids, on TpT.

I hold an English degree from the University of South Florida and have taught public school for over a decade.  I am a native Floridan who, when not in the classroom, enjoys a variety of hobbies:  Reading (sundry genres), writing stories, writing lessons and units, designing lessons and units, cleaning and organizing my Hobbit Hole Home, and going on kayaking and other adventures with my husband and our dogs.  I also like alligators very much.  Growing up, when my mom would take me to Busch Gardens (which I find to be, by far, the best theme park ever, I care not what anyone else says!), we would have to go stare at the alligators first.  Every time.

I am still waiting (patiently, I might add) on my Hogwarts letter, and I am quite confident that if I could cast a patronus it would take the form of a dolphin.  

I am a literary and linguistic snob.  I correct peoples’ grammar in my head, but only verbally correct them if they’re my student…I don’t want to be pretentious about it.  X)
