Well I am behind again! I’m not exactly sure what happened to summer…it was just whisked away! At the start of break I entered an independent book contest, which I am quite excited about! I can’t imagine reading through so many submissions, but it looks like mine hasn’t been ruled out quite yet…perhaps because they have not made it mine yet X), so here is hoping! We hit upstate NY for a week and had lovely adventures and are back home to some happy dogs. And hopefully soon to be happy chickens, as my husband has graciously acquiesced to a small backyard coop, which we have begun building. I wish…

Goodness am I behind! Summer is a month over and I am just finally making a post. I have managed to complete no creative narrative writing the past month, but, thankfully, have finally finished my lesson plans for a complete novel unit on Lois Lowry’s The Giver! Well, I have been extremely slow, but all my vocabulary lessons for Lois Lowry’s The Giver are finally available! It has been a busy week, and I’ve focused more on my lesson plans this week, but I finally added stanza six to “An Unexpected Seafaring Tale!”
